Central Park to light up again
Central Park lights up again this year with one of New York City’s most beloved summer traditions – Shakespeare in the Park. A favorite amongst native New Yorkers and visitors alike the summer performances at the Delacorte Theatre this year includes
‘The Winter’s Tale’ and ‘The Merchant of Venice’. This star-studded event’s biggest attraction this year is Al Pacino as Shylock in ‘The Merchant of Venice’ with a not to be missed cast including Gerry Bamman, Happy Anderson and Lily Rabe. Although tickets for the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park are free they are hard to come by. As tickets are handed out at the Delacorte Theatre (near the Turtle Pond) in Central Park from 1pm on the day of the performance, most theatre enthusiasts camp out on the park to ensure a place.
